Safety training: Experience greater safety
Training goal:
- To recognise, avoid and handle dangerous situations
- Getting to know the limits of the vehicle and vehicle handling
- Developing awareness for critical situations (avoiding obstacles, braking on corners, driving downhill)
- Getting to know the physical principles of driving
- Working out the optimal stopping distance in every conceivable situation
- Developing the driver’s sense of responsibility
Target group: The seminar is intended for MAN customers who are in possession of the necessary driving license.
Training procedures:
Theoretical stage: Theoretical basis of driving dynamics.
Theoretical stage: Theoretical basis of driving dynamics.
Practical stage: Determining the optimal stopping distance, avoiding obstacles which suddenly appear, braking on roads which are slippery on one side, braking on corners on slippery surfaces, driving downhill on slippery roads (9% gradients).
Final discussion: Each participant is given a certificate to show the qualification he has acquired.
Vehicles: MAN’s own training vehicle or the customer’s vehicle
Duration: 1 day
Number of participants: A maximum of 10 participants per trainer and 20 per day
